About Us

Invitro Sciences Inc. began providing products and services to the forensic and law enforcement markets in Canada in October of 1999. Founded by Paul Couture, Paul has many years of experience in the sales and marketing of specialty products and services in the healthcare and life science research markets. He became involved in the supply of specialty DNA collection and analysis products to forensic DNA labs while with Canadian Life Technologies, now part of Invitrogen. After a number of meetings with police forensic investigators in Canada, he recognized a need for a reliable and innovative supplier to police services and forensic labs in Canada, offering a broad range of products and services.

The product range continued to expand quickly. The introduction of unique products and services and better customer service allowed the company to grow and to gain a reputation as a leading supplier of forensic and law enforcement products in Canada.

The year 2003 saw many changes in the company, with the move to a larger office and warehouse facility, the addition of a full time customer service representative and the incorporation of Crime Sciences Inc. as a wholly owned subsidiary of Invitro Sciences Inc. The new name better reflects the nature of our business. Although we currently use the CSI Crime Sciences Inc. name more as a marketing tool, our goal is to operate completely under the CSI Crime Sciences Inc. name by 2009 at the latest.

In 2005 we expanded again, doubling our warehouse capacity and greatly increasing the number of products and quantities of each item kept in stock on our shelves. We introduced a functional clean lab area in 2006, allowing us to package our own biological sampling and DNA collection kits. We began to dispense and package our own high purity DFO and 1,2-Indanedione. We developed and introduced a number of exclusive innovative products:

In 2007 we added more people to ensure that we could maintain our high standards of service to our customers. We continued to expand our product offering and our abilities to provide additional services and expertise to our customers. We began supplying our unique products into the U.S. and other markets.
