This unique Vacuum Adapter is a disposable nozzle intended for the collection and securing of trace evidence so small it can't be spotted with the naked eye. The Vacuum Adaptor fits on the hose of most common vacuums and is designed to be used only once. For that reason, any material collected is almost guaranteed to come from the crime scene in question. Particles of trace evidence are sucked into the adapter and are trapped in the filter paper of the built-in Petri-dish. The petri-dish is removed and the rest of the adapter is thrown away. The evidence is then secured with an optically correct plastic lid which can be used directly in the optical microscope.
