Plastic shaft swabs have a larger diameter stem that won't fit into the SwabShield. No matter, our swab protectors allow you to package and protect plastic shaft swabs from cross-contamination even if time does not permit air drying the swab at the time of collection. Simply slide the protector up the swab shaft until the swab bulb is covered and protected. Protectors can be used with both 6” and 3” swabs.
