The perfect tool for collecting biological samples. Many automated DNA extraction systems now utilize only 250 microliters of extraction buffer. Most swabs are too large, and absorb all of the extraction buffer, leaving nothing for analysis, or analysts have to selectively cut only a portion of the swab, increasing cost and time. It's a sterile Dacron polyester tipped wooden shaft 4.5” swab in a tube. Simply remove the black end cap, then twist open and remove the swab, take your sample, and then return the swab to the tube with the opposite end open. Complete the sample collection information on the tube label. The entire tube can then be put into a bag or box, and will dry during transport. No more handling, no tying up drying cabinets or evidence lockers. Reduced risk of cross contamination, greater evidence integrity. Our single kit includes one Crime Scene Swab, one 3 ml vial of sterile water, and one 5” x 8” breathable tamper proof evidence bag; our double kit includes two Crime Scene Swabs, one 3 ml vial of sterile water, and two 5” x 8” breathable tamper proof evidence bags.
