These Duty Gloves have a Spectra® liner to protect against injury from razors, knives and other sharp objects. Spectra® is an extraordinary, hi-tech cut and slash resistant fibre, produced by Honeywell. Pound for pound it's 10 times stronger than steel. Spectra® is the material used in many types of police ballistic vests, military helmets and body armour. The Spectra® yarn is knitted into a comfortable seamless glove liner, which is then sewn into a premium leather shell. Please note this glove is cut resistant, and not cut proof. The liner does give twice the cut resistance of a Kevlar® liner of equivalent weight. The supple, premium grade, water repellent treated, goat-grain leather we use in these Bossman gloves puts our competitor's gloves to shame. Besides being soft and pliable, the leather is tough too, as it passes the demanding BS3144 tear strength test. For water repellency the leather passes the CAN/CGSB 4.2 Method 26.5 M89, high
