Fumes and particles are drawn downward through the work surface and away from your breathing zone. The unit's open design allows for close inspection of samples while still offering a high level of protection. Applications including fingerprint powders, other powders or chemicals with high molecular weights are ideal due to the downward airflow pattern. The base section is removable for easy cleaning which is especially useful when working with powders. Additional features include stainless steel base construction and internal fluorescent lighting. Requires one main filter, and one electrostatic pre-filter (both included). We recommend changing the pre-filter every quarter, to extend the life of the main filter.
