
Our sifting screens are built to the exacting standards required for fieldwork in archaeology, paleontology, forensic science and law enforcement. The screens have been tested through years of service and provide optimal performance under the toughest field conditions. Using only the highest quality materials, each sifting screen is hand-built. The screens are comprised of select, clear New England white pine, making them durable, but surprisingly light and easy to carry. All wood is planed and sanded to eliminate rough edges prior to assembly. Rocking sifter handles are shaped for comfort during use. Our superior, woven wire mesh is guaranteed to tolerance. We offer 1/2" and 1/4" hot-dipped, galvanized, and 1/8" stainless steel, screen mesh sizes. Stainless steel 1/16" mesh and 1/4" polyethylene mesh are available upon request. Our standard size rocking sifters have two, forty two inch, legs, with four-position adjustable height. The pivot point is located on the far end of the box. Center pivot legs are also available. Screen inserts are available so that one sifter can be used to process two different size matrix.
