The double decker screening system is designed to sift through two mesh sizes simultaneously. The upper box, typically made with 1/4" mesh, is clamped into place on top of the bottom sifting screen, made with 1/8" mesh. After the material remaining in the top box is
processed (matrix larger than 1/4"), the double decker is easily unclipped and removed leaving the sorted smaller matrix in the bottom box.
