The Polilight®PL500SC has been specifically designed to assist the forensic investigator to efficiently carry out an examination at the scene-of-crime. All the quality features of the PL500 are of course included. However the PL500SC enhances performance by incorporating a graphic display remote control, a 5 metre (16 feet) light guide, a redesigned power supply and a simplified front control panel.

The remote control features the new state-of-the-art 128 x 68 element LED graphic display which gives excellent visual display whatever the environment; bright sunlight or dark nights. The housing of the remote can be fixed to the light guide, or the user's belt, and the six buttons allow full control of all functions of the light source, including on/off, filter selection, tuning, power output and shutter control. All functions selected are displayed on the remote while the operator is 5 meters (16 feet) away from the instrument.
The new Polilight®PL500SC has 12 bands in the UV/Visible range, (350 (UV), 415, 450, 470, 490, 505, 530, 555, 590, 620 and 650 nm plus a white light position) with an available IR option with 4 additional bands (610, 715, 780, 830 nm requires special IR light guide). The power supply has been redesigned to accept any input AC voltage from between 85 and 265V and at any frequency between 50-60Hz.

Each Polilight PL500SC comes with a 5 meter liquid light guide, 2 pair each of our nylon framed clear, amber, orange and red goggles; 62 mm camera filters in clear (UV haze), amber, orange and red; Bogen Clamp System, 2 CD training discs, operation manual, all housed inside a UK1427 carrying case. UV-VIS-IR model comes with additional filters, IR camera filter, IR light guide, Sony HandyCam for visualizing and capturing the IR images, housed inside a UK1627 carrying case.
